Iván D. Beltrán
During the last 10 years Iván D. Beltrán has been an active figure inside and outside the academia. Mr. Beltrán has participated in numerous projects as composer, orchestrator, mockup artist, scoring mixer and music copyist. His most recent participations include the original score for Violeta by Colombian director Deivy Rubinche; Four Stories by director Madison Bakich (USA), and the animated film Love is Mute by students from DSK International Campus (India).
Originally from Colombia, Iván gained recognition as producer, arranger and orchestrator due to his collaborations with Colombian songwriters such as Andrés Correa, Óscar Mora and Julián Mayorga among others. As a music copyist and orchestrator, his scores have been used to record the music for several Colombian films including the award nominated documentary Apaporis (2010), the animated short Los Atrapasueños (2010), and Poker (2011).
Iván studied music production and composition at Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia; and obtained the Academic Excellence Award due to his optimal performance througout his study years. In 2015 got his M.M. in Commercial Music at Florida Atlantic University with a 4.0 perfect GPA. Alongside his prolific career as a producer and composer, Mr. Beltran has been professor of Music History, Music Theory, Sight Singing, Ear Training, Piano and Composition at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad El Bosque and Universidad Pedagógica Nacional in Colombia.
